The Shift Project
The Shift Project (TSP) is a Europe-wide think tank, or rather ‘action tank’. Its mission is to act as a proactive source of proposals which focus primarily on the resources required to make the shift to an economy free of dependency on fossil fuels (and therefore of greenhouse gas emissions). Operating at the point where the academic world meets the corporate world, society and government institutions, our think tank is committed to bringing forward operational measures that seek to answer not only the question of ‘why?’, but also the question of ‘how?’.

Sauvons le Climat (SLC) (French)

Skeptical Science
Explaining climate change science & rebutting global warming misinformation
Scientific skepticism is healthy. Scientists should always challenge themselves to improve their understanding. What does the peer reviewed scientific literature say.

Sustainable Human

We demand a WWII-scale mobilization to restore a safe climate.

Al Gore´s project:
Our mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society.
Today, climate change is standing in the way of a healthy tomorrow for all of us. But at Climate Reality, we know that practical solutions are right in front of us. We can create a healthy, sustainable, and prosperous future by making a planet-wide shift from dirty fossil fuels to clean, reliable, and affordable renewable energy.

The Transition network
From their vision:
When we use the term “Transition” we’re talking about the changes we need to make to get to a low-carbon, socially-just, healthier and happier future, which is more enriching and more gentle on the earth than the way most of us live today.
In our vision of the future, people work together to find ways to live with a lot less reliance on fossil fuels and on over-exploitation of other planetary resources, much reduced carbon emissions, improved wellbeing for all and stronger local economies. The Transition movement is an ongoing social experiment, in which communities learn from each other and are part of a global and historic push towards a better future for ourselves, for future generations and for the planet.
